The Grainrus Group is an agro-industrial holding company whose main business areas are agricultural production, production and sale of raw materials for brewing and distillation, grain trading, logistics, as well as production of raw materials for bakery and confectionery industries.
The company possesses own logistic terminals designated for the receipt, storage and packing of the imported raw material, as well as it owns 90 000 ha of arable lands, 400 units of agricultural machinery, 6 grain storages, 3 km own railway lines and a malting plant in the Kursk area.
Malt production is represented by 3 enterprises in the Kursk, St.Petersburg, Yaroslavl regions with a capacity of Pilsner malt 250,000 and 20,000 tons per year. The company has its own malt brand: Kursk Malt. Since 2012, 20 malt varieties have been produced under the Kursk Malt brand, including barley, wheat, buckwheat, oat and rye malts.
In 2020, light barley malt "Pilzner Premium" from the Kursk malt brand was introduced for sale. In 2021, the production of fermented and unfermented rye malts was launched at a malt house in the Yaroslavl region, which became part of the group of companies at the end of 2020. Since 2012, malt has been supplied to 18 countries on 4 continents.
The quality of the products is confirmed by the international product quality marks ISO, EAC, LGC, VLB Berlin, as well as medals and certificates of national manufacturers competitions, such as "All-Russia brand. Quality mark of the XXI century" by V.M. Gorbatov Federal Research Center for Food Systems.
In addition to its own malt production, the company has been the largest supplier of imported malt from Belgium, Denmark, Finland, and the Netherlands for breweries in Russia and the CIS since 1997.
The company has a developed warehouse network consisting of 12 warehouse terminals in the Russian Federation and carries out wholesale and retail sales of goods for brewing, distilling and baking to leading enterprises of the industry.
The logistics direction manages the transshipment and storage capacities of grain and oilseeds on the Volga River (Kineshma). The grain base has its own 94 meters length berth being able to serve vessels of the river-sea type with a carrying capacity of up to 5,000 tons from May to October, as well as 30 hectares of land and grain storage elevators with a capacity of 40,000 tons.
The number of employees in 2021 reached a record number of 1,500 people.
