Company

For 26 years, Grainrus Group has been a worldwide supplier of raw materials for brewing.

Since 2012, we have our own malt brand "Kursky Solod". Under the brand, we produce 20 varieties of malt at 2 malt houses in the Kursk and Yaroslavl regions. The production is certified according to international standards FSSC 22000.

Our own agricultural project and 110,000 hectares of cultivated land provide a full production cycle: from field to shop.

The quality of products is checked, from the incoming samples of barley in an accredited laboratory, to packaging. Product quality is confirmed by certificates FSSC, EAC, LGC, VLB Berlin.

Malt house in Kursk

Today, the production capacity of Kursky Solod malt house is up to 125 thousand tons of light malt per year. The capacity of the drying complex is up to 300 tons per day, with the volume of elevator storage capacity for raw materials / finished products up to 70,000 tons. The malt house has a roasting shop with a capacity of 6,500 tons per year and produces 20 varieties of basic, caramel and special malts.

Over 10 years, modernization and construction of production facilities were carried out, which made it possible to increase the production of light malt by 3 times, as well as establish quality control "from barley seed to malt" in an accredited laboratory. In 2016, once the malt roasting shop with equipment from the Czech Republic was launched, the production of a line of caramel malts with colors ranging from 20 to 1400, which are actively used in crafted dark and semi-dark beers, began.

In 2018, production of special non-barley malts, such as buckwheat malt and oat malt, used not only in brewing but also in bakery production, was launched.

Organic Food LLC has the modern rye malt production facilities located in village Kostino, Rybinsk District, Yaroslavl Region. The production facilities were put into operation in 2018 and include full malting cycle.In December 2020, Grainrus acquired the Organic Food LLC's production assets to produce the rye malt under the Kursky Solod (Kursk Malt) brand. The production's unique feature is the individual heating of each bed, with the automatic temperature and humidity conditions support. Production capacity – 6000 tons of rye malt a year.

Round-the-clock malt loading makes it possible to optimize schedules for the tasks and deadlines of each client, and the technical capabilities of the enterprise allow for the loading of about 10 hoppers, 3 covered wagons and 30 cars/containers per day. The total volume of shipments is about 1,000 tons per day.

Production of rye malt

Malt varieties branded "Kursky solod" (Kursk Malt). Rye, oat and buckwheat malt are used in bakery production to improve the bread color, taste and aroma.
