The quality of the Kursk Malt products was acknowledged in the framework of the international food quality competition Quality Assurance-2020. On December 09, 2020 the best food producers were announced within this Competition.
According to the decision of the expert commission, Pilsner Premium, Munich malt, type 2, Pale Ale and Oat malts got 2 Gold and 2 Silver awards of Quality Assurance-2020.
The V.M. Gorbatov Federal Research Center for Food Systems of Russian Academy of Sciences announced the launch of the all-Russian food quality control competition - Quality Assurance-2020. The Quality Assurance competition is an independent food research conducted by the Federal Research Center with the support of the Committee on Agrarian and Food Policy and Environmental Management of the Federation Council, Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
During the competition, the best experts from the whole country study the presented products and beverages in 22 categories. According to the regulations, food and processing industries enterprises, farms, public catering and retail chains are allowed to participate in the competition. Moreover, special conditions for micro and small enterprises are provided, which allows even the smallest businesses to confirm the high quality of their products. The winners will be awarded on November 12, 2020, the World Quality Day.
In total, the organizing committee of the competition received competition entries from 145 food industry enterprises located in 50 regions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan. All the presented samples of products were assigned code designations and sent for tasting. Organoleptic testing of the quality of the presented products was carried out by professional tasters from 9 industry and research institutes as far as from industry unions to confirm the compliance with the requirements of technical regulations, standards, regulatory and technical documentation of the manufacturers. The specialists also evaluated the marking of the samples participated in the competition. In addition, according to the decision of the tasting commissions, some of the samples-contenders for the victory were tested in laboratories to check their quality and safety characteristics specified by specialists. Quality inspections were carried out in 5 accredited research laboratories with the provision of test reports.
Pilsner Premium barley malt and oat malt are new offers added in 2020 to the production line of basic and special malts of the Grainrus-Kursk Malt. The Kursk Malt has once again confirmed that its products meet the highest quality and safety standards. The malt house produces up to 19 varieties of barley, wheat, buckwheat and oat malt, with EBC from 20 to 1400. The quality of our products has been confirmed by leading international quality marks, certificates and awards many times.
