In March 2021 Grainrus company has acquired the elevator complex Millerovo Elevator PLC in the town of Millerovo (Rostov region). Facilities and objects of the elevator complex are located on an area of 18 hectares.
The elevator’s capacity includes storage of up to 150 thousand tons of grain and oilseeds, including 90 thousand tons at the elevator and 60 thousand tons at the floor storage.
The elevator complex includes 8 grain receiving centers with a capacity of up to 4,000 tons/day, and up to 2,700 tons/day for seeds, as well as a fully gasified drying complex consisting of 5 drying plants with a capacity of up to 1,000 tons/day of drying seeds.
Elevators and storages have 5 areas for loading grain and oilseeds into railway wagons. The length of the railway connecting track is 2.8 km, it leads to Millerovo station of the North Caucasus Railway.
For shipping agricultural products by truck there are 7 charging stations and 2 stations for loading wagons and grain trucks. The access areas are equipped with scales for railway and truck transport, as well as with 2 automatic samplers.
The elevator purchases grain and oilseeds, such as wheat, barley, sunflower, corn and soya, on terminals.
New facilities of Grainrus company will allow ensuring prompt shipment of raw materials for manufacturers of starch, starch products and vegetable oil and supplying the leading exporters.
Grainrus company exports agricultural products to more than 18 countries of the world. Acquisition of the Millerovo elevator has become an important step in development of the supply chain for exporting grain and oilseeds and in creation of the company’s logistics network, including more than 20 objects, such as facilities for storage, transshipping, conditioning and loading of agricultural products for transporting them by railway or truck transport to different parts of Russia.
