Behind every tonne of grain is a story that continues far beyond the place where it was grown.
This year, we are marking the completion of the harvest campaign in an unusual way — with photographs of beer brewed using malt from the "Kursk Malt" brand, which made its way to one of the most remote corners of Russia: Wrangel Island.
There is a special symbolism in this journey. Barley begins its story in an ordinary field, with the careful and dedicated work of agronomists. Ultimately, it becomes part of a product capable of travelling thousands of kilometres and bringing together people from entirely different regions — even in the harsh Arctic tundra of Wrangel Island.
The 2026 grain harvest campaign has now entered its final stage. For the Grainrus team, the harvest is the beginning of a much longer journey. From the field and the grain to malt, and then to finished beer, months of work go into the process, with every stage and every person involved playing an important role.
And it is particularly rewarding to see the result of this work in a place where you might least expect to find it — far beyond the familiar shelves of a store or the tables of a bar.
Take a look at the photographs and join us on the most unexpected journey of the Grainrus harvest — from the field to the edge of the Earth.
