On July 27 and 28, Grainrus Group of Companies, at the invitation of the Russian Export Center, took part in the Russia-Africa summit, which was held in St. Petersburg.
On July 27 and 28, the second Russia-Africa summit was held in St. Petersburg, in which representatives of 49 of the continent’s 54 countries took part. 17 African states were represented at the highest level. An economic and humanitarian forum was held in parallel with the summit.
Over two days, Grainrus employees held more than 20 meetings with potential partners on the African continent. Some of the meetings were organized by the Russian Export Center, and some took place on the sidelines of the forum.
Employees visited the national exhibition stands of African countries, met their representatives and presented our company and products. The partners showed interest in the Kursk Malt brand and possible investment projects on the African continent.
“We listened to what businesses different regions of Africa are promoting, what they are interested in from a partnership point of view, what kind of partners they are looking for in Russia. Even with those with whom we did not have direct points of contact, we agreed that we could be useful to each other in principle. One of the directions of our negotiations today was the exchange of experience, the establishment of friendly contacts and the conclusion of agreements on further cooperation. For example, on the 27th we held a meeting with representatives of Dubai and Morocco. We shared with each other the subtleties and nuances of doing business, exchanged opinions, and gave recommendations on issues of cooperation between countries. I think this could turn into an extremely useful partnership in the future,” said one of the employees of Grainrus Group.
