Malt imports have been one of Grainrus's key business areas since the company's foundation in 1997. Over the years, Grainrus has built extensive expertise in organising international supplies of raw materials for the brewing industry, combining product selection expertise with international logistics and direct cooperation with manufacturers. The company's first customers were breweries in the Vladimir, Tver, Penza and Kurgan regions of Russia. As the business grew, Grainrus acquired the Volga Grain Terminal in Kineshma in 1999 to handle large-volume malt imports. For nearly three decades, this dedicated grain terminal has helped the company maintain its leading position as an importer of raw materials for brewing and distilling.
For 25 years, Grainrus's imported malt portfolio included products from European manufacturers in Belgium, Finland, Germany and the Netherlands, meeting a wide range of technological requirements. Both base and specialty malts enable customers to select raw materials with the characteristics needed for beer and other beverage production.
