Smoked and peated malt
8-40 ppm
Two types: smoked and peated
SMOKED
Barley malt, smoked over beechwood chips. Depending on the added amount, finished beverage gains from refined to intense smoky flavour and aroma. It enhanced complexity in taste, and perfectly combines with caramel and dark malts to create a unique flavor profile. It is commonly used in various beers and whiskeys.
PEATED
This barley malt is smoked on peat during the drying process, making it the perfect choice for creating whiskeys with distinct smoky flavours. This malt has a powerful aroma with characteristic notes of peat and earth, creating a deep and complex taste. The smoke adds richness and complexity to the drink, leaving a long and satisfying aftertaste.
