On August 6, 2023, Grainrus Group celebrated its 26th birthday.
On its birthday, Grainrus Group presented its industrial hop-growing complex in Krasnodar Krai to representatives of the leading breweries in Russia and the CIS.
The event was attended by more than 200 guests, including brewery owners, directors, and technologists, representatives of federal, regional, and industry media.
The guests of the event took a tour around the hop farm, production facilities, laboratories and workshops, guided by employees of the hop growing project of Grainrus Group who explained details of the project, specific features of hop growing, collection, granulation and storage.
By its 26th birthday, Grainrus Group managed to launch a full-cycle industrial hop farm: from seedlings to granulation, which is undoubtedly an important development milestone not only for the Group, but for the entire brewing industry in Russia and the CIS. Throughout its history, Grainrus has been a reliable supplier of malt, first imported, then Russian, under its own brand "Kursk Malt".
This year, the production capacity of caramel malt has been doubled as a result of the launch of a new malt roasting plant in Rybinsk (Yaroslavl Region).
Grainrus Agro has become a leader in introducing land into crop rotation in the Ivanovo and Yaroslavl regions. Northern regions of the Central Federal District, where these crops were not previously grown, are being actively cultivated. Yaroslavl Region showed record yields for winter oilseed rape with an average of 3.7 t/ha and with a maximum value of 5.0 t/ha, peas with an average of 3.9 t/ha and with a maximum value of 6.0 t/ha. In Ivanovo region, for the first time, record yields were obtained for winter oilseed rape, with an average of 3.5 t/ha and maximum value of 4.5 t/ha in standard weight, and peas of food quality have been grown, which is a significant achievement for the region.
The launch of the Grainrus Agro agricultural project in the Ivanovo Region, as well as the commissioning of a grain drying complex with a capacity of up to 170 tons/hour, allowed the region to become a grain exporter for the first time in 2023.
Head of Grainrus Group, Dmitry Vizir: "Grainrus Group has been investing in its own agricultural project, developing other regions outside the traditional Central Black Earth areas. Significant funds have been invested in the cultivation of land, acquisition of new capacities, production modernization, as well as the creation of fundamentally new projects for Russia, for example, the Kuban hop-growing complex, which is of strategic importance for the entire brewing industry in Russia."
Today, Grainrus Group is a major agro-industrial holding included in the TOP 60 largest owners of Russian agricultural land in 2023 according to the BEFL ranking.
In 2023, Grainrus Group subsidiaries won prizes in the All-Russian competition "Exporter of the Year" in the nominations "Exporter of the Year in the Field of Basic Agro-Industrial Products" (large business), and "Trader of the Year" (large business).
Grainrus Group pays attention to the social projects and supports children and youth sports. For example, in August 2023, biathlon rifles and specialized equipment were purchased for the students of the municipal autonomous extended education institution "Olympic Reserve School No. 4" in Rybinsk (Yaroslavl Region).
Ambitious plans, a close-knit team, expertise and experience are undoubtedly the key to the company’s stable growth and strengthening its position as a market leader.
